In the golf world these days, everything is about advertising. Every few months one company or another is debuting the latest and greatest in golf technology. It is promised that this new technology will add an insane amount of distance to your game as well as being even more forgiving than whatever is in your bag. Mizuno Golf, for the most part, has not really followed this route. Of course they advertise, but more than most companies, they let their products speak for themselves. It is clubs in this category that really are the heart of the company, and this is because to many they have a feel that is superior to nearly everything else around. Sure they make some really good game improvement clubs, and their woods and wedges are also top notch, but when golfers think of Mizuno they think of small, compact irons with buttery soft feel. It is for this reason that many of the games top amateurs and professionals trust their irons to Mizuno and put them into play day after day. While their presence on tour may not be quite as big as some of the other companies, one of the games best, Luke Donald, is on staff and with his input, Mizuno has released their latest iron for the better player, the MP Like all irons from Mizuno, the company allows for custom options.

They're awesome. That was a no from me, dawg. While the 8-PW are grain-flow forged from E, the 4- to 7-irons are forged from chromoly steel and outfitted with microslots. I guess the will feel a little bit different. But what do people think: is there any improvement whatsoever in terms of performance? Despite my failed dalliance with the Srixons, I'm not emotionally attached to gaming the MP64s forever. Review by: J13 — Updated Pros: Mizuno has hit a home run with these irons. My most recent set of Mizunos were the MPs. The MPs are certainly softer than the average forging, but the MPs just seem to melt at impact, like a hot knife through warm butter. Also the modern sized head and one of the best sole designs on record makes this a gem. Bottom Line: Mizuno moved forward by looking behind. It took the feel that got Mizuno to the big dance and paired that up with the latest technology in forgiveness for a players iron. This goes to show that Mizuno is listening to the public. These forged irons were historically reserved for the better golfers. Now, Mizuno offers different designs for all levels of skill.

However, the real secret comes in the form of the sole grind. It features softer edges for consistent turf interaction, making the irons more playable. The MPs may very well be the club destined to push them out of my bag for good thanks to their traditional look and superb, soft feel out of the middle.
