As well as guiding Trevor through the night, Michael 'Pav' is often called on to take his place at the microphone to present the program. Being a musician and a bit of a night owl, Michael is more than comfortable working in the early hours of the morning - which is a good thing because due to the popularity of the program he is often run off his feet dealing with listeners demands and requirements of live radio. Currently writing a novel and recording an album of his own songs, Michael manages to juggle the overnight shift with the needs of family life and a heavy mortgage. Having worked on the program with Trevor for nearly four years, his body clock is well and truly buggered up by now, and as a result he has developed a thick skin and black circles under his eyes. He has also built up a strong constitution from eating out of the ABC vending machine.
