We were seated immediately and chose a booth for a little more privacy. Our server was Vladimir who did an outstanding job for us. We each ordered one and antipasti as an appetizer.

But that ends now! Just one hour north of where we live in Maryland is the charming, historic town of Havre De Grace where we recently spent one day eating and drinking the best it has to offer. Residents of Maryland are lucky to have an array of landscapes all within three hours of driving. My inner Gilmore Girl squealed with delight stepping into this beautiful inn. With only one day to eat and drink our way through Havre De Grace, staying downtown in an area that was walkable to the nearby restaurants and breweries was very important to us. There are but a few places that fit the bill, and for us it was Vandiver Inn that won us over.

Open seasonally, located near the City Yacht Basin. The chains have about 80 stores in the state. The waitress Maggie was amazing all her recommendations were delicious and spot on. The po boys are very dry and just not good at all. From your morning coffee, to an after dinner treat, Havre de Grace is full of quaint local spots, perfect for your caffeine fix or sweet tooth! My table fought over the shrimp appetizers, they were soon good! We found the servings very generous, of good fresh quality and the owners very wonderful friendly people. It had good flavor though, I will admit. The owners, Peter and Mary, were a pleasure to chat with and as sweet as the wine that graced our lips.
