This Thorium Ore farming guide will list the places where I was able to farm the most amount of Thorium in the least amount of time. There are a two types of Thorium Veins you will encounter on these routes, small and rich. It's recommended to have Mining skill before you start farming, because you will get more ores. The guide you are currently reading is for Shadowlands. Azeroth zones are different in retail WoW, and you can also use flying mounts. I have a separate guide for Classic WoW:. Thorium Ore farming in Classic. I believe Winterspring is the best place for mining Thorium, there is so much Rich Thorium veins in this zone. You could actually just go off the route that I recommend and you will still find Thorium everywhere. The reason I like Un'Goro is because of the layout of the zone, one big loop around the zone and that's it. It's so easy to farm there.
There are a number of rock formations that run west to east just south of Tar Pits but thorium classic of the river, and there are usually veins here too. So, what are you waiting for?
Some of the areas changed in Burning Crusade Classic because some mobs became non-elites, but the farming routes are still the same. Level 70 players will just have an easier time farming because you can avoid pulling most mobs. The red line is filled with level elites, so if you have bad gear, you should probably just skip that part entirely unless you have stealth. With some practice, you can usually get through only aggroing a few of them. The two caves marked with red circles are filled with level 50 mobs, so lower level players might want to skip them. Burning Crusade Classic: I would only recommend this route to level 70 players or classes with stealth.

Rogues can skip most mobs with stealth, but they still have to fight a few of them.

Comment by Anyone know the skill required to mine this vein? I was astonished. Not to mention that the fire elementals are also good to farm for essences and a possible rare spawn! Comment by Allakhazam I feel sorry for the that mined it and got no Thorium Ore It also appears that the spawn locations are cyclical in an area. Silithus tis great for high level or stealth. Ungoro is the very best. If there is competition, a circular route between the northern nodes up to gadgetzan is also productive, although only a stealth class can safely reach the back of mazthoril. Comment by Allakhazam The first time ever mining on of these I got two arcane crystals in the same vein. You don't even need to smelt the ore into bars- more profit if you don't which is great for Dark Iron Ore. By going to Un goro crater and going round and round and round in cirlces on the border.
