I tried accessing it with a hatch, but it won't attach any where. I now have many upgrades researched for the scanner room, but no way to use them. The scanner doesn't show me anything but beacons, my first base, and my Seamoth. I had cameras floating around from the Stalkers taking them, or whatever they are near my starting base.

Once selected, the resources will be highlighted with subnautica scanner room orange circle. So you take your titanium salvage thats in your inventory and you drop it in the water. If the scanner room works like that, the best and logical idea would be to have it inside the mobile cyclops.

The Scanner Room is a Seabase module. It is constructed with the Habitat Builder and allows the player to generate a 3D map of the surrounding Biome , scan for resources, and conduct scouting via controllable Camera Drones. The player must find three Fragments to unlock the Scanner Room's blueprint. If a Scanner Room is constructed in an unpowered Seabase, it will not function. The Scanner Room always requires power to display its holographic map, but it does not drain base power unless it is scanning or fabricating upgrades. The Scanner Room in construction terms functions like a I Compartment : while it is circular in form, only two sides are connectors. These are indicated by rectangular blanking plates which can be used to help orient it: it is often necessary to use the rotate function when building one to get it at the proper angle.

The scanner can be used to synthesize blueprints from salvaged technology, and to record alien biological data. The Scanner is a tool capable of scanning Fragments , lifeforms, technology, flora , the Player's body, and other objects scattered around the map, which get added to the Databank. Fragments are scanned to acquire Blueprints ; to acquire the blueprints of a particular item, the player must scan its corresponding fragments, the number of which varies based on the object. If a fragment is scanned but the player has already acquired the blueprints for said fragment, then the fragment will become 2 pieces of titanium and automatically be put into the player's storage. The Scanner has a range of five meters. If the player equips a Scanner and points the crosshair at a scannable object in range, a white circle a progress indicator appears in the middle of the screen. With a Scanner equipped, the player can hold the correct button to scan their target. It takes about ten seconds to finish scanning, depending on the size of the object.

Scanner room issues I've just built the scanner room , it only seems to give you the option to scan things which are in range which I suppose makes sense , one problem tho , I built it on my base in the grassy plateaus and it gave me the option to search for fragments , there was only battery charger fragments and even after I picked them up it still showed a beacon for that location which is annoying , also stalkers love to steal the drones.
