Roku remote no power button

I have successfully paired the remote, all buttons work as expected except for Power button. I have tried CEC, no go. Using IR pairing the remote first turned off the music at code 10, beyond that the codes either did not allow the power button or the volume buttons, sometimes neither would work. I discovered that I was using an old Ultra, model X2, roku remote no power button.

I just got the roku premiere and the remote does not have a power button or volume controls. I can turn it on using star key but can't turn it off.
