On perhaps the wettest day to hit West London for weeks, reelstreets, we arrived at Osterley Park to find a Talking Pictures TV banner and a small reelstreets where we could pick up our brochure and picnic lunch, reelstreets. It was lovely to finally meet Sarah Reelstreets, who does so much with her family to programme the weird and wonderful and sometimes both film and TV fare of Talking Pictures TV.

ReelStreets is the study of commercially distributed cinema and television films with outside, recognisable, built-up locations and the changes that time, war or development may have occasioned. We are looking for location identifications, comparison shots, information, anecdotes or references to fill our pages and will mention anyone who helps, giving full credit to all contributors. Comparison views from Google Earth , Bing Maps or other third parties are generally only accepted to support previously unidentified locations and will be added at the discretion of ReelStreets. A Google , Bing or other third party image will be overwritten when an original comparison shot is submitted. All pictures submitted must be of l andscape orientation , as would be seen on the cinema screen, not portrait. Can you help? When his brother dies under mysterious circumstances in a car accident, a gangland enforcer from London travels north to investigate. Replacement screen captures and new location identifications by Phil Wilkinson with much original work and research by Brian Leng. Otherwise it seriously affects accuracy. This site is concerned with world cinema and with scenes that were shot outdoors in recognisable built-up locations and how they have changed in the intervening years. The older film actors may have passed, but their memories and images on celluloid will never fail and they are even now being transferred to DVD and hard-drives for the benefit of future generations of movie site enthusiasts. All these are being collected on our movie places site, which, in estate agent speak is concerned with location, location and location.
