When Fiona was a little girl, a witch cursed her to transform into an ogre every night. The curse could only be broken with the kiss of her true love. Fiona's parents did their best to hide her curse but eventually sought the help of Fairy Godmother, who had them lock Fiona away in the Dragon's Keep to await her true love to rescue her. They had also agreed that Godmother's son Prince Charming would be the one to eventually rescue Fiona.
