Thread Tools. Likes: Received 2 Likes on 1 Post. All, Does anyone have a good youtube link or other tutorial showing the best way to fix these codes? I know it is an Evap System Leak Large Leak and I have already cleaned my capless gas tank inlet and it seems to have helped for some time 3 months or so but I am getting the reading again. I have seen conflicting messages on what to replace to resolve this. I may try cleaning the cap again but I figured the parts to replace under the hood aren't too expensive so I could replace them as well. I have a F 3. Another recommended forum would be great too. Thread Tools. I have a F Ecoboost 3. For the last two years I've had the PC code and no luck finding the culprit. Recently I decided to build my own smoke machine to see if I can narrow down the issue. Current symptoms I have: 1. Difficulty starting after refueling. Decreased mpg I placed the smoke on the hose at the vapor canister. This hose is located to the front of the fuel tank and I believe it is Ford part 9GB. South end of hose 9GB Now as soon as I attached the smoke I saw smoke blowing out from behind the engine, against the firewall see pic I can see where this hose turns up towards the engine but not where it's connecting. Do any of you have any advice on how to access this.

Thanks for looking and for the reply, I already have the white beveled tube installed. Log in. May also take a bunch of start restarts before it looks again at the code. The EVAP canister purge check valve test is performed during minimal boost conditions, once per drive cycle, when entry conditions are met. CX5Nut said:. Insert quotes…. About this Discussion. Replies 0 Views The same codes came back 3 times now since trying to clean out the existing fuel closure. My guess is that under boost the purge valve vents back into the intake tube thats creating a vacuum because it cant vent to the other side thats under boost pressure. Joined Jan 24,
To fix this issue, you should visually inspect the wiring harness and connectors for any damage. Check for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
