When I try to start the truck after it has been sitting a few days, it will crank for 15 to 20 seconds before the Oil pressure gage will move up from the bottom. After it moves to the normal position it cranks another 20 or 30 seconds getting progressively faster until it fires. If I have ran the engine for a few minutes and shut it off, and immediately try to start it, it starts pretty much like it used to. It will crank for 1 to 3 seconds before the oil pressure gage goes to the normal position and then start right up. If I leave it off for two minutes, then it cranks for 5 to 10 seconds before gage goes to normal position then another 10 seconds or so to start.

What do you suggest?

As an experienced mechanic, I understand the frustration it can bring. But fear not!

Went back out with SCT scanner and created. Discussion, reviews, maintenance and more. Well I suspected IDM at first. It started about the same as when it was plugged in. Been starting and running fine. I expected them to slip on easily but of course, that did not happen. Did they make different ones?
