Modem upstream blinking
There are modem upstream blinking causes of this including an internet outage, cable fault, or a device fault. Some of these issues are within your control and some unfortunately are not.
Trouble shooting for Cable Internet Before contacting technical support please check the following: Check Connection Have your changed your modem? Is your modem connected as per the Modem Connection Guides? Is the coaxial cable connecting your modem to the cable jack secure at both ends? Is the cable connecting your modem to your computer secure at both ends? Is the power adapter connected securely to the modem and other end to the power outlet?

I had tech Come to our property. The issue was on the street pol having a bad adapter and sending no signal. They replaced that and the cable from the pol to our home and resolved the issues. Power Cycle Unplug your modem from power for 1 minute and then plug it back in. Restarting your equipment is always the first step to solving internet problems.

You can always try a different modem and see if it works. If it has the same issues, then its the cable running to the modem or the isp's lines. If two different units have failed, then either this is a ISP line problem and the ISP needs to send someone out to check the signal at your place, or you have two faulty units. Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box. Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

I've had the Netgear CM for about a year now and all of a sudden within the last 2 days the upstream light has been blinking green nonstop. My internet connection seems fine and as far as I can tell the connection doesn't seem to drop. I tried troubleshooting the device by doing a reset, factory reset, and then finally contacting Xfinity.
