With the remastered and definitive edition of ARK here, some things have changed a little bit. For actual spawn location, the Beaver Dams can be built anywhere the Castoroid Giant Beaver spawns naturally. If you look at the map above, there are multiple popular locations in which the Giant Beavers spawn naturally and will build their dams. However, if you are careful, you can sneak up the river to check for Beaver Dams. If you do this, the easier location to check would be the green areas on the east river. It can only build them in the area in which they spawn.

These Dams are a brilliant way to get high-tier materials like Cementing Paste and Silica Pearls, which are needed in abundance for a lot of late-game crafts and are, in many cases, easier to farm. They are not without their dangers, however, so make sure to be alert throughout your hunt. Me and my tribemate we went to search beaver dams on snow area small lake with waterfall and i could only see one beaver dam normal one , and i couldnt see the new big beaver dam that my friend was able to watch and harvest.
