Introduced during the Edolas arc, Lisanna is a member of the Strauss lisanna strauss. In the manga, readers immediately see exactly what happened to Lisanna before she was whisked away to Edolas. But in the magazine Fairy Tail Plusdirector Shinji Ishihara explains that he intentionally left what happened to her vague, in the hopes that she might one day come back to life in the manga.
