Kenneth "Ken" Barlow is Coronation Street 's longest-standing resident. Born there in , throughout most of his time on the cobbles he has lived at No. Ken was the eldest son of postman Frank and kitchen cleaner Ida. In his youth, he aspired to escape his working class roots.
