We will be booking a verandah stateroom not sure which category as yet and intend sailing on the 17 day Mediterranean Impressions cruise on May 14 next year. After much reading of various cruise critic boards I am still unsure as to which cabin to select. From my reading, I gather that an aft or mid ship cabin on a lower deck is more stable. Looking at the deck plans I am thinking of booking a VE cabin on the Verandah deck. Has anyone been in these cabins? It seems that the lifeboats would be directly below us. Is that a problem- would it obscure our view in any way? Would a VD or VE cabin be a better choice? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am prejudiced in the deck I choose, since I am not prone to sea sickness or motion. So my only suggestions for you is to go with the lowest category that you will accept and be happy with if you do not get an upgrade to something better.
