Scripture: John Open your bibles this morning to the Gospel of John, the fourth Gospel, chapter 12, and read with me verses There are several instances recorded in the gospels where a woman anoints Jesus with a precious ointment. This one is thought to parallel the one found in Mark It had not been long since Jesus had raised Lazarus of Bethany from the dead, an act which had created quite a stir, not only among the locals but also with the religious leaders. Jesus was nearing the end of His public ministry as, chapter says that the Passover was rapidly approaching. Scripture tells us that after raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus knew that the chief priests were plotting His death and so he did not walk openly among the Jews, but instead went to the city of Ephraim, a city near the wilderness.

Jump to navigation. Consolidation is a very important step if we are to keep the new believer in the church so he or she can be discipled. Because it is so critical, it needs to be properly done. Upon the pre believer's decision to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, the consolidator or cell leader should:. The Pre-Encounter consists of lessons designed to prepare the new believer for the Encounter Weekend. The Pre-Encounter helps the new believer to receive maximum impact and value at the Encounter Weekend. The lessons will walk the new believer through the basics of the Christian faith, covering topics such as our new relationship with God and new life in Christ and introduce the Encounter Weekend. The Encounter is usually conducted as a weekend retreat. It is the new believer's first experience of coming face to face with God and His Word. At the Encounter the participant is confronted with his past and led to deal with all the negative influences in his life, like sins, curses, hurts and offences. It is also here that he is introduced to the G12 Vision and receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Fresh from the Encounter Weekend, the new believer goes through ten lessons of the Post-Encounter so that he is equipped with the Word of God to seal the victory he receives at the Encounter and deal with the attacks of Satan.

A disciple can only be formed when they have been won and consolidated correctly. The G12 Vision is a strategy that allows each believer to develop as a true disciple of Jesus , reaching spiritual maturity Ephesians And he appointed twelve, to be with him, and to send them out to preach. We believe that twelve is the perfect number of people a leader can care for, teach, guide and help grow with great purpose , in order for them to do the same while forming their own team of The number 12 was chosen by God to organize a year in 12 months, and a day in two periods of 12 hours. He divided the people of Israel into 12 tribes to organize them, guide them and give each one of them a territory. The Lord Jesus chose 12 ordinary men who were transformed into great leaders that continued with the Great Commission to go and make disciples. The G12 Vision believes in the potential of each believer that is part of the church and turns each one of them into influential leaders, who win souls and impact their family, social, work, business and ministry settings.
