Brockington College is part of Embrace Multi Academy Trust; a new trust developed in partnership by like-minded leaders and governors from a range of schools across south Leicestershire. We are a church-majority trust, driven by a moral purpose to develop pupils in the fullest sense, regardless of which academy they attend and without detriment to others outside our trust. We are a growing and inclusive Trust currently comprised of nine schools, which work collaboratively to promote and share good practice to raise educational outcomes for all of our children. We support our schools through the work of our Central Team, allowing them to focus on their core purpose of teaching and learning. Arnesby Church of England Primary School was originally two classrooms built in the mids. The school building was extended in , but many features of the Victorian era are still in existence, including the original school bell, which is still used to mark the beginning of the school day. The ornate windows and Norman arch door help to create a real atmosphere of a traditional village school that offers a 21st Century curriculum. Adjacent to the school stands the village hall, which is used for daily assembly, school dinners, indoor PE, large scale art and a very popular gold book assembly to parents. The sports field is located next to the village windmill and is a joint venture with the Parish Council and Village Hall Committee and the school is proud of its strong links with the local community. Many outdoor sports such as football, cricket, athletics, tag rugby and sports day take place here. The school also has strengths in the arts and currently awaits recognition of this in the form of the Artsmark Award, which recognises the effort of its teachers in incorporating rich opportunities within the curriculum.

Sharon is an experienced leader who has a breadth of strategic and leadership knowledge across all age ranges. With a proven track record of effective and rapid school improvement, Sharon has worked across different local authorities and has previously been a head teacher in both a substantive and interim capacity at schools in Oxfordshire. Since , she has worked extensively in school improvement including as a senior leader in a large multi academy trust in Oxfordshire. Passionate about inclusivity, Sharon firmly believes that every child and young person should receive the very best education and start in life, allowing them to develop and achieve their full potential.
