We counted 13 bridges over the creek on the way down. Easy walking except for a few short steep grades and quite a few tripping hazards to be watchful for. Nice hike, but it was very very slushy, wet and slippery! This was a great hike on a groomed trail. A perfect time to be out. Nice well signed trail with lots of beautiful wild flowers and butterflies.

Biking the trail took a bit less than an hour going uphill. Mud on Beaver Creek portion. I would rate it more as a blue square as it can be difficult at times. We love this trail year round. I would do it the opposite, go up Beaver Creek and down Horseshoe Canyon to do all the climbing in the shade. Even though it was mostly a woodland trail, there was a lot of variety in the fauna… From luxuriant grasslands to alpine meadows to cool woodlands. Awsome trail with some great ups and downs some small bridges along the way. Good, uphill for the most part! It's a lovely trail but with very little shade - we cooked! We have people coming from many locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan just for our pizza.
