Livonia is my home town and my favorite place to explore. Visit our favorite family pool, visit a family operated farm, picnic at a historical park and enjoy sweet treats this summer. Have fun in the sun at Sheldon, Botsford or Clement Circle pools. Clement Circle is our personal favorite and features a zero-entry pool with splash pad features and a brand new playground free and open to public in the park. The pool opens for the first two weekends in June and for regular hours beginning Saturday, June 18th. After a two year hiatus, the Livonia Spree returns for carnival rides, live entertainment and a firework show June 23rd to June 26th. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church is August 11th th. Blue Line Farm is lots of fun. Sign up for a farm visit or attend a goat yoga class! Bring a Frisbee and lunch for a picture-perfect picnic at Greenmead Historical Park. Kids — and, let's be real, adults — can find some relief on a hot day at a splash pad. They're cool, refreshing and more than friendly to non-swimmers. They have a blast enjoying the water and soaking one another with water guns. The free splash pad at Farmington Hills' Heritage Park is open 10 a. The park is at Farmington Road, between 10 and 11 Mile roads. When kids are finished with the fountains and sprayers, Heritage Park also has a playground, nature trails and fields perfect for a picnic or game of soccer. Parents enjoy that Heritage is cost-free and has plenty of open spaces for parents to keep an eye on their kids. It being free doesn't hurt either. LeeAnn Varga, who brings her kids to the park, added it's nice to have another playground nearby. The pool is open p.
