If anyone is fairly new to this please join in and we can share! I am now on Day 4. All tests done and now recording my food each day. It takes me ages as my phone is slow needs replacing and some things I eat aren't listed it relies a lot on packaged foods.

Just wondering if anyone signed up to the Zoe app and lost weight? Hi, I'm nearly at the end of the four month period and have lost no weight. I think it depends on the reason you're not as slim as you like - I'm a saint Monday-Thursday and then eat and drink too much Fri-Sun and I haven't changed my weekend ways enough to see a difference in weight. Worth it in other ways though I think and I'm sure if I reigned in weekends it would have had bigger impact. I feel WAY better, loads more energy etc, but was hoping to be slimmer too! One of the problems is I end up eating a lot of nuts and cheese, and a lot of pulses so might try and change that to fish and see if it makes a difference…. I am doing it. But the report was a wake up call - worse than expected blood sugar and fat responses though decent gut biome diversity. Im doing it for health reasons as I want to live in good health for as long as possible. I do feel better and definitely more confident that I'm generally making good food choices for me which adds a bit of feeling virtuous! Unfortunately portion size is still a thing. If I had done it a few years ago I think it would have been much more impactful as since then I'd already basically given up carbs - my blood sugar score was SO bad but my ex-pasta habit would have made it even worse! I'm still glad I did it though.
I was also so hungry having eaten only the horrid refined carbs of the brekkie ones that I tucked into them!
In keeping with good beginnings I am off to have berries, nuts and yoghurt. Could murder a load of toast though! Found you! Thanks for starting the thread. Was going to have a spinach and berry smoothie but fancy something hot so off to make an omelette HNY everyone!
ZOE is a program that uses an analysis of your gut bacteria, blood fat, and blood sugar responses to personalize food choices to support your health. Backed by clinical research and mostly easy to follow protocols, ZOE is worth trying so that you can get a better understanding of your gut and metabolism. ZOE is a company that analyzes your gut microbiome, blood fat, and blood sugar responses to help manage your weight and optimize your long-term health. ZOE combines clinical studies with machine-learning technology AI , microbiome sequencing, and scientific collaboration to help with this goal. This program can be used for weight loss, but it is also for people who want to learn more about optimizing their health. ZOE uses your blood sugar response, fat response, and gut microbiome makeup to guide food choices that reduce dietary inflammation, work with your metabolism, and improve your gut health. If you consent to be in the trial and are eligible, you will receive a continuous glucose monitor CGM. If not, the ZOE app will have alternative instructions for some days during the testing period. Over 14 days, you will eat clinically tested muffins, send in blood fat and gut health tests samples, experiment with foods to learn how they affect your blood sugar, and learn about metabolism in short lessons.

I am obese so it shouldn't have been but at least my poo sample showed my gut was good. Ive actually just resubscribed as things were starting to go off track a bit again. So it's completely subjective guesswork then as to what a big spike is, or a moderate one etc, Their app asks us to say how much of a spike we saw on our monitor, yet refuse to say how many mmol. Join Mumsnet Log In. I have completed the Zoe program with all the tests and a month of coaching. This amused me greatly! The way the app works also means that it encourages you to just add more and more random things onto your plate to bring the score up. Hopefully that will wear off. If anyone is fairly new to this please join in and we can share! Thanks - could I PM you for a link? The thing I particularly recommended is a quick cook pearl barley mix which only takes minutes! How is the feedback presented? I hope they've done something better with AI functionality now, because it spends a lot of time asking you questions like "what did you have for breakfast" and when I did Zoe you could type in " donuts" and it would just say "that's a great choice! I'll be interested to see if hunger returns when my body run out of surplus fat to burn. I'm enjoying an apple and nut butter as a pudding at the moment. The Mediterranean is top again in a number of categories. No that is completely incorrect, no one is going to get a good score from milk chocolate for example or even from something like tuna mayo on white bread or a jacket potato with cheese. If I were to do it again, I would still have read everything they have published, had the tests done independently and spent the rest of the not inconsiderable cost on an annual CGM check. Eat olive oil instead of butter. I don't want to waste my money. This may be useful if you have concerns over chloesterol etc but you can get the basic tests for this done by your gp.
