Word tattoos
Tattooing is as old as history itself.
If you've been considering getting a word tattoo, you might be wondering where to start. Should you get something short and sweet or go for an entire quote? Even once you've decided on your one-word tattoo idea, you'll need to figure out what style to get it in. Will you go with a traditional-style script or opt for a fine-line design? Even after you've decided on all of that, you'll need to think about placement.

Precision is power. These one-word tattoos are proof that one-word is all you need to express yourself or tell your story. Tattoos say a lot about the wearer. While matching tattoos are proof of commitment, quote tattoos serve more as a reminder. They either represent a motto, tell a story, or both. Of course, you can make your point with a thousand words. But those who choose to ink only one word know what they want and what they are trying to tell. On the execution level, they cost less pain and money because most of them are fine line. I'm painfully jealous of people who can have tattoos. Having an allergy to metal being in my bloodstream — which tattoo ink often has in it — I sadly can't partake in the fun that is getting a tattoo. However, that doesn't mean I can't admire them from afar, especially the powerful one word tattoos of the world. If you ask me, one word tattoos are one of the greatest tattoo designs you can get. They somehow manage to capture so much heart and soul into a single word. Often eloquent and simple, they also grant an individual the ability to share a bold statement with the world. Just imagine how much thought has to go into a tattoo that's a single word. It has to be something that you're personally connected with or that has a very significant meaning in your life, but that won't get boring. Having the courage to then put that one word onto your body for life has to take some serious guts.

The world of tattoos offers a wide range of designs, giving people leverage to choose a design that suits their preferences. The growing popularity of body artwork can be attributed to its ability to provide individuals with a unique means of self-expression.
A non-intuitive placement can add interest to a relatively simple tattoo, like this vertical phrase rendered in loose script font. Encourage repetition with a circular stick-and-poke that uses a basic text font to create a powerful message. If it sounds like you, consider it as your next ink.
