Wled flickering
I have a weird problem I can't figure out. Because of the huge power consumption I installed two power supplies. One wled flickering 5v 30a, the other 5v 40a. Ground IS connected between both.
The rest seem fine. There are a total of ws pixels, 12v. If I run an effect, the pixel colors seem fine, but create a flicker almost like a subtle strobe. Anyone know what the issue might be? It seems that only the first chunk 90ish or so pixels have the problem, then the rest are all fine after that. This would largely depend on your power injection. For example, if your ground wire running to the first strip was compromised, but your power injections were not, it could cause erratic behavior from the beginning of the string to nearby the first injection point.

I want to use a self soldered ESP12E board with minimal space requirements. With this board I have some LED glitches. Most of the time the selected color is shown, but randomly short burst with a different color appears. A single level shifter is also used, but the led stripe works flawless with a nodemcu even without a level shifter. If I set the brightness the glitches don't appear, all other glitches are with full brigthness. If I use only a red color, those glitches are mostly green, sometimes blue. Most of the time the complete stripe is affected, but sometimes only the first LEDs burst the wrong color. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:.
There are a total of ws pixels, 12v. Certainly, with 70A of 5V current available, there'd better be some beefy wiring involved.
Now that I have resolved my ground issue, the light effect modes appear to be working as expected. However I am noticing that certain modes, there are random flickering of the lights. Here is an example of Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas Effect. Here is the hardware I have that I am using. The app settings are the default.

I have sacrificed a led to send the signal over a data cable about 2m. The last section is flickering a random colour. I have tried adding power both ends but this makes no difference. Checked all connections and still unable to figure out issue. Any help will be great. Thank you.

Flickering issue on long run Hardware. Maybe you are also using a very high amount of LEDs. Hand drawn and photographed is perfectly acceptable. Sorry, something went wrong. If I hook up the pixels with only a few inches of wire between the shifter and the first pixel, they work relatively fine. In the event that I can sort this interference issue out, I can probably narrow down the other 12V strings as well, because those three ESP32s are also on a shared buck converter. I' ll make a bypass to led strip and update if that worked or not. Like for example, you have but configure it for Next year I will most likely go with another controller. Are you sure that voltage drop is not big?

That made me realize I forgot to add some details to my inquiry. WLED Project. WiFi Lighting Effects Driver. Did you try without the levelshifter?
And all?
