Wilson Fisk , who is secretly known as the Kingpin , is a multifaceted figure within the City of New York. Rising from a troubled childhood, Fisk navigated through a path entrenched in crime to eventually become one of New York's most influential and feared crime lords. As a young boy growing up in the streets of Hell's Kitchen , Fisk encountered numerous hardships that shaped his perspective on power and control. Despite his rough upbringing, he exhibited a remarkable intellect and keen business acumen. Fisk's journey from a troubled youth to a criminal mastermind began as he climbed the ranks of organized crime, solidifying his presence as a formidable force in the criminal underworld. Fisk's imposing physical stature is matched by his strategic brilliance, making him a force to be reckoned with both mentally and physically. His control over the criminal activities in New York City earned him the notorious moniker "Kingpin," a title that encapsulates his dominance in the city's crime syndicates.

Wilson Fisk, a. Kingpin , has had his backstory explored in great detail in the MCU. Kingpin is one of the most recognizable and beloved villains in the MCU, and has perhaps the most rich, brutal and well-developed history. Wilson Grant Fisk was born in the earlys, and was raised in an abusive household, as Fisk's father, Bill Fisk, would abuse Wilson's mother, despite being seen as a strong figure by his son. Fisk was raised in a house of violence, particularly after his father lost the run for New York City Council. Bill Fisk descended into alcoholism, exacerbating the abuse, which prompted a year-old Wilson to murder his father with a hammer. Fisk and his mother cut up Bill Fisk's body to hide the crime, before Fisk moved to a farm and spent several years traveling around Asia. By , Wilson Fisk had returned to New York City and had begun to build his criminal empire, planning to pull down Hell's Kitchen before building it back up. Among Fisk's recruits were the Tracksuit Mafia, led by William Lopez , and Fisk ended up building a close relationship with Lopez's deaf daughter, Maya. Fisk was incredibly protective of Maya, even going so far as to brutally beat an ice cream vendor who mocked her deafness and refused to sell her ice cream. Without prompting, Maya joined in with Fisk's assault on this man, marking the beginning of her violent tendencies. Eleanor noted that she would happily take over Derek's role to clear his debt to Fisk, but that she didn't want to work for Fisk forever. While Fisk agreed that Eleanor wouldn't be indebted to him forever, paying off Derek's debt would take years, and Eleanor would in fact still be under Fisk's thumb over a decade later.

One of the most feared, dangerous and powerful crime lords in the Marvel Universe , usually depicted as New York City 's crime overlord , the Kingpin was introduced as an adversary of Spider-Man , but later went on to be the archenemy of Daredevil , [5] as well as a recurring foe of the Punisher , and his adoptive daughter Echo. He was married to Vanessa Fisk , who frequently expressed her disapproval of his criminal activities, and later to Typhoid Mary Fisk , and is the father of Richard Fisk and Butch Pharris , the latter of whom succeeded him as the Kingpin following his retirement. His traditional attire consists of his signature white suit jacket and cane, though his appearance has been changed over the years. Across all iterations, the Kingpin is depicted with an extraordinarily heavyset appearance and a bald head. The character is not simply obese but also heavily-muscled like a sumo wrestler and a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. Despite this, his size has been regularly mocked, especially by Spider-Man. The character has been adapted from the comics into various forms of media, including feature films, television series, and video games.

Slavs Sclaveni overwhelmed the Balkans in the 6th and 7th centuries. Serbia eventually expanded its borders to the east.

Hawkeye's season 1 finale saw not only the introduction of new major players in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also the return of a fan favorite: Vincent D'Onofrio's portrayal of Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. And fans were just as delighted to see him return onscreen as D'Onofrio was to don the character's white suit and cane once again.

However, Daredevil, now the Kingpin's principal opponent among the city's costumed adventurers, found Vanessa alive, though suffering from severe mental problems. Fisk asked about the irregularities he had discovered but Owlsley insisted that it was normal; however, when Owlsley tried to hand the papers back, Fisk noted that his hands were shaking and he was sweating.
