Conquer the encyclopedia of everything. A multiplayer game in which up to eight players race to find Wikipedia articles as fast as possible. I absolutely love playing this game. It combines fun with a bit of education. However I do have one suggestion that could help its users learn even more. I noticed that when you find the Wikipedia page early, I have the urge while waiting to read through the Wikipedia articles I had come across during the game. However, I am stuck on the screen and cannot leave the app or else I will get kicked out. If the developer can figure out some way to allow early finishers of the race to read articles while in the app and while waiting for other competitors to find the page, this app could be even more fun and feed my love to learn. And it will become in my mind a 5 star app. I am definitely inclined to give this game 5 stars, its super fun and especially fun to play with friends. The only reason to not give it 5 stars would be how spotty the connection is and how rarely this game actually works to connect to other players. I regularly try to play this game with strong wifi connection at home and sometimes it takes literally minutes to connect me to another player, or it just loads and loads and never connects even though it says i have proper connection. Playing off wifi is nearly impossible and sometimes it randomly drops the connection when im in the middle of a game. If these connection issues and bugs were worked out, i would definitely give 5 stars as the game is incredibly fun and mentally challenging in a good way, however im barely ever actually able to play the game due to these issues.

Description Wikiracing the encyclopedia of everything, wikiracing. Afterwards players compare journeys and learn how everyone's brain approaches the task differently. Powered by BiblioCommons.

This week during Teen Time, the teens taught me about a game called Wiki Racing. The goal is simple - pick two unrelated topics like astronauts and frogs, start the timer and the race is on - how quickly can you move from the beginning Wikipedia page on astronauts to the destination Wikipedia page on frogs using only the hyperlinks in each Wikipedia page to jump to the next subject. The winner shows off the path they took by pressing the back button on their browser and you get some insight into how they think! It's a fun and engaging way to quickly skim topics you might not otherwise read about and a unique problem solving challenge for your brain to untangle -- which of the topics on the next page might provide the most direct route to the destination page? Afterwards players compare journeys and learn how everyone's brain approaches the task differently.
