Many received a new lease on life that they had never had! The WTH program is a hospice type program for rescues who have a limited life span due to chronic medical conditions. In this program, WRNT makes certain that the rescue receives the much needed medical care including medications to keep them comfortable and pure love to keep them happy. Without the help of North Texas Giving Day and the many people who donate to our organization, this is not possible. We are in dire need for fosters so we can expand our intakes when needed. Our goal is to keep spreading the word and reaching out to people who inquire and the hope is to have 10 new foster families by the end of the year. Please visit our website to fill out a volunteer application if you are able to help in any of these areas. Westie Rescue of North Texas exists to rescue and rehabilitate abused, abandoned, neglected, homeless and surrendered West Highland White Terriers. All members of the organization are strictly volunteers. We need fosters, transporters and monetary supporters!

The shelter was at capacity and asked LSWR if they could help take us in. Of course, LSWR said yes!! I am a super sweet, playful, cuddly and affectionate puppy. I get along great with big and small pups. I LOVE to play and run around outside, help in the garden and I would love to have a furry friend and toys to keep me busy.
We adopted our sweet Sami from a Westie breeder here in Portugal, but we now know how many Westies there are out there that desperately need to find new homes. Thankfully for these lost sweethearts, there are many organizations out there that can help them. In Texas, Westie rescue Texas organizations work hard to save, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs that need to find a loving home. Lone Star Rescue Westie has been working for many years to help save Westies that need to find happy homes. They help dogs get the medical help they need, find foster families, and then find their fur-ever homes! This site is doing a great job of connecting people who want to save Westies with Westies that need to be saved. My favorite part of the site is their Happy Tails section! It works not only with Westies but also with Cairns, Scotties, and all types of small terrier mixes that could benefit from their assistance.
