Kate " Pidge " Holt is a former communications cadet at the Galaxy Garrison.
She's an agile and strategic fighter, and a highly intelligent and versatile mathematician, hacker and inventor. In order to search for her missing family without being recognised, she enrolled into the Garrison under the fake name "Pidge Gunderson" and cut her hair short. The Garrison initially mistook her for a boy, which was fine with her because it helped to significantly lower the odds of her being recognised. It is only after she joined Voltron that she finally revealed her true identity, along with the fact that she is actually a girl. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and is an analytic and independent thinker. After season 8 Pidge left Voltron to follow her dreams. Pidge is shorter-than-average human girl, and her appearance reflects her androgynous personal style.
