The show followed the life of Charlie Harper, a dedicated bachelor and notorious playboy, whose life gets upended when his newly divorced type-A brother moves in with his aloof year-old son. The series ran for eight seasons before Sheen's struggles with drug and alcohol abuse made it so production couldn't move forward with him. He famously got into a public dispute with executive producer Chuck Lorre, and was killed off the series.
