It appears that the R has been discontinued and replaced with a new slimmer case, slightly larger plots and a more pronounced bezel serration as well as being a master chronometer. All good news. Here's an exciting development for the Tudor collectors in the audience — the Harrod's Tudor Black Bay Special Edition is no longer a London-only exclusive and is now available for online purchase. Originally launched in , the ref. MG is a 41mm steel black vay with a gilt-effect dial and a warm green bezel that was exclusive to Harrods and only available via the brand's flagship store in London, England. While the Harrods Black Bay remains a model that is exclusive to the luxury retailer, the UK-only market availability appears to have ended. With straight text on the dial — including the green coloring used for the water resistance indication — the Harrods Black Bay uses Tudor's in-house and no-date MT COSC movement with 70 hours of power reserve. Aside from the green coloring, the Harrods Special Edition also features a special case back engraving. Finally, the change in availability for the Harrods Black Bay has also kicked off renewed rumors that the model may be or already is discontinued. While I've reached out to Tudor for comment on the matter, I don't expect confirmation one way or another. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the spec is being phased out, given the changes to the 41mm Black Bay. Discontinued or not, the Harrods Black Bay remains a very cool expression of the format, and you no longer have to travel to London to get one on your wrist. We're hoping for smaller cases, more colorful dials, and much more bronze. All will be revealed Monday morning. Until then — here are our predictions. We're just days away from discovering what Tudor has in store for Watches and Wonders , but, given the brand's strong love of secrecy, your guess is as good as ours. In preparation for the Geneva fair, I asked the Hodinkee editors to offer up a sort of blended wish-prediction for what they'd like to see from Tudor when the new models drop next Monday morning. I then hamfistedly opened Photoshop and did my best to render their hypothetical Tudor creations. The results are below and just about every single one looks like a watch that Tudor could make.
