By tsherv , May 4, in TTR. I recently purchased a TTR It had the wrong carb installed on it. I purchased a replacement carb that is the correct style for the year. The problem I'm having is the hose connections are different. Pictured below is the style of carb I'm adding not the same carb.

So, any recommendations on where to find the carb and anything else needed to do the swap adapter, throttle, etc? Any guidance is appreciated! Shipping was usps priority mail and the carb took 3 days to arrive from the day I ordered it. You can also get a Chinese "Mikuni" from ebay or amazon

This is the stock carb and I believe its a VM28 but I cant find any distinguishing markings on it however when I bought the jets I had to search for VM28 for matching jets. My 04 TTRE is bone stock, problem is the choke cable froze up so I took it off and soaked the choke plunger with PB blaster for a day or two and then tried to pull the choke cable out, the cable then broke and the plunger stayed froze up, I eventually got it out, but destroyed the plunger while removing. I now need the plunger assembly called the start up kit and choke cable from Yamaha.
