When physical threats and torture fail to produce answers, the gang's leader Vincent Cassel hires a hypnotherapist Rosario Dawson to delve into the darkest recesses of Simon's psyche. As she digs deeper into his broken subconscious, the stakes become much higher and the boundaries between desire, reality and hypnotic suggestion begin to blur and disappear. This promises too much in the first 20 minutes and fails to deliver what could have been an excellent film. That said, it is watchable and worth a look if you're struggling to decide on a movie to watch. My wife would have given it a 4 out of 5.
