When sharing their hairdresser frustrations, people often fail to realise that the necessary solution presents quite a paradox. Let me explain. One of the first things people notice about my online presence is that I don't post client photos on social media. For some, that's frustrating, yet for others, it's validating. Let's talk about that. There is a fundamental reason why haircuts have unflattering shapes that cause problems and grow out poorly. Better results require a change in seeing and thinking. Let's talk about it. For individuals with challenging hair, finding someone to provide them with a good haircut is often a frustrating and elusive search. In this episode, Tom talks about why that is. Many who arrive at the studio think frizz is the primary source of their hair frustration. In nearly every situation, they soon discover the real solution has little to do with purchasing expensive products. Most spend far too much money on products for their hair that are ultimately disappointing. As a result, they continually hunt for cosmetic salvation like a prospector hoping to one day strike it rich. Apple Podcasts Preview.
Better results require a change in seeing and thinking. In an era of misinformation and styling over substance hairdressing, I feel an obligation to help where others upsell. It helps to spread the word and tom zappala haircutting visibility in others' search for a curly hair specialist.

My curly hair journey began overseas 34 years ago, well before the CGM era. Subsequently, after years of development in Los Angeles, that expertise landed in Melbourne. As a result, people invariably arrive here when searching for a curly hairdresser. However, as a true specialist, I have the necessary expertise to assist with any hair texture or situation that results in frequent salon frustration or disappointment. Being a curly hair specialist has little to do with CGM obsessions, learning to use a diffuser, stylised Instagram photos and selling products. More than ever, women with curly hair need genuine, honest, and reliable expertise. They seek a true specialist whose primary motivation is helping people, not manipulative social media marketing and upselling. Unfortunately, that reality is what too many in Melbourne have experienced. In contrast, I use my expertise responsibly—to help and support people without personal creative bias, strict dogmatic ideologies, or exploitative sales tactics. Ultimately, utilising well-honed principles that advocate a supportive self-care service, my expertise will resonate with particular individuals and their frustrations.

Over time, I noticed that the individuals arriving at my Melbourne studio shared something in common: each had challenging hair. Regardless of their hair type or personal situation, they all shared a common appreciation of a professional who takes their work seriously. As a result, I decided to use my expertise to help women with a history of difficulty or disappointment. After consistently achieving success in this endeavour, I decided to market myself as a specialist so those in need can easily find me online. Any hair salon that offers a wide array of services is a generalist and not an honest, technical or reliable specialist. Clearly, a specialist has a singular focus and service offering. So, am I a curly hair specialist? A significant number of these clients have fine or thin hair concerns. Like curly hair, people with fine hair also struggle with blunt cuts that are flat and shapeless.

As someone who blow dries my hair as much as I wear it curly, he gave me a cut that allows me to do both. Rochelle, I truly appreciate you coming into the studio. The care, attention and obsession with creating a functional curly hair cut without relying on product is something I haven't experienced anywhere else. Seeing and ultimately correcting so many shapeless haircuts each week indicates that hairdressers either don't know how to cut hair well or can't see shapes correctly. Also, I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience here for others to read about. Subha, thank you for trusting me with your hair needs. As I often state, I have more raw skill and expertise than anyone will ever need. Let me explain. Just by following his advice I have noticed that my hair responds better to the products i use which is very little. Thank you for being with me on this journey thus far, and here's to many more years. I appreciate this, Irene!
With so many short and long haircuts out there at the minute, it's sometimes hard to find inspiration for the guys with medium length hairstyles, but Tom Holland is the man for that. Image Credit: Instagram spekerachael.
Thank you Tom, for the first time ever, as a 53 year old, l really really love my hair. Such care and attention was so appreciated, thanks Tom. The Viall Files. When sharing their hairdresser frustrations, people often fail to realise that the necessary solution presents quite a paradox. Tom made me feel heard and the result is an amazingggg haircut! A significant part of that obsession has to do with correcting misinformation. If not, I'm always here to listen, learn, and improve wherever I can. Let's talk about that. Tom was non-judgemental and an empathetic listener, and the studio was comfortable and peaceful - a departure from the stark white lighting, noise and glitz of typical hair salons. Indeed, consistency is everything—especially when working with challenging hair textures. A truly unique experience, I loved when Tom said I did not have to come back in another three months or even in another six months, that it was truly up to me - I knew best.
What words... super, a remarkable idea
I am sorry, it does not approach me. There are other variants?
