Henselite Tiger Pro bowls are a new addition to the Henselite range aimed, as its name suggests, at the professional player. It quickly established its reputation as a high quality professional level bowl when it was used by Alex Marshall and Paul Foster and at the World Indoor Championships. It has a predictable trajectory and good stability, and it plays well on all surfaces, fast or slow, indoors or outdoors — so although it is aimed at the pro, it will also appeal to the beginner or club player looking for a multi-purpose bowl that allows them to play a wide variety of shots with good reliability. The Tiger Pro has a contemporary design with an ergonomic profile and dimple grip that is slightly shallower grip than the Tiger, making the bowl easy to hold, especially in the wet, and to deliver more precisely. But the cost is easily offset by the versatility of this bowl. Since Henselite Tiger Pro bowls are so beginner-friendly, they can also be used by younger players. On our relatively fast grass surface, Henselite Classic II bowls are a very popular choice. Many bowlers new to the game commit to the Classic II and never look back. It should be noted that with the Classic II, size really matters! Playing at number 3, he is happy with the turn in at the head which allows for a variety of shots, but the Lawn Bowler has seen less and slightly later turn with Size 4 and below. That said, they remain a Club favourite and well worth the investment. The Tiger Pro bowl takes a wider arc through the length of the green, but has a less pronounced finish relative to the arc. Ian, our former B Team captain, played his Size 4s as skip last summer season and has been very happy with the feel in hand, clean and consistent lines and variety of shots he can play on the lawn. The profile of the bowl is slightly narrower than other Henselite bowls , but uses the same grip found on other Henselite models.
