So it is good to see another luxury hotel in central London added to the Hilton portfolio. I was invited to try out the Westminster London Hotel shortly after it opened. Hilton supplied a free room for one night as well as dinner and I paid for a second night myself. I must admit I had never visited the Doubletree Westminster which was its former iteration. Westminster is the centre of power and the home of Government, where all the national decisions affecting our lives are made. Just a short stroll away from The Houses of Parliament, this four-star room hotel is close to all the action, but far enough to offer guests privacy. That makes it attractive to MPs, diplomats and well-heeled tourists. Quirky touches include bowler hats in the window and vivid portraits and sculptures in the tasteful lobby. Who knows which guests you might be staying with, spies or diplomats? Formerly the DoubleTree Westminster, the hotel is now under the Curio Collection by Hilton and the hotel has a wide variety of rooms and suites which are both modern and sophisticated for that home from home feel. The 13th floor king, one-bedroom suite has a spacious lounge area with a fold-out sofa bed and a large inch television screen. Meanwhile, the main bedroom has another TV and both share an incredible view of the London skyline. Kick-off your shoes and relax a while in the room, nibbling the hand-dipped chocolate strawberries and a glass of bubbly before stepping into a sleek black marble bathroom to get ready for the evening. Spend a relaxing time putting your makeup on in the mirror and brushing your teeth in the large vanity sink. There is also an enclosed toilet for privacy.

The rooftop fitness center is also a plus. Cons: I wish they spread out the breakfast seating more as it felt cramped. Takeoff Point: A solid option with comfortable rooms in a tranquil part of a London neighborhood, yet still very convenient to major sites. We arrived by Uber, and the area looked quite nice with luxurious residential buildings in the area, but it was definitely on the quieter side, which could be great for those wanting to relax after a day exploring the city.

Restaurant was very expensive and not much choice on the menu. See the hotel. When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more. Quiet environment, very close to Big Ben. Location Stayed in February Quirky touches include bowler hats in the window and vivid portraits and sculptures in the tasteful lobby.
