This is the original, volume version of this book that appeared in Daggerfall.

This is the revised, 5-volume version of this book that appears in Morrowind , Oblivion , and Skyrim. The original version of The Real Barenziah , that appeared in Daggerfall , contained 10 volumes, and also included a censored passage involving Barenziah's meeting with a Khajiit male in an inn, that has been removed from the 5-volume version. Nevertheless, the 5-volume version is overall longer than the volume version, because of many extra details added throughout the volumes, and in particular several additional paragraphs in The Real Barenziah, v 5 , compared to the original The Real Barenziah, Part X. Those interested in the life of Queen Barenziah may also want to read the Biography of Queen Barenziah or the Daggerfall version at Biography of Queen Barenziah , which is a shorter and sanitized version of her life, written by the Imperial Scribe. Barenziah was a long-lived Dunmer woman who was a part of the royal family of Mournhold. She had many skills including thievery, spellcasting, speechcraft, and negotiation. Barenziah experienced many important events throughout her life, and had a number of notable descendants. She grew up in Skyrim , banished after Tiber Septim conquered Morrowind. She joined the Thieves Guild in Riften and was taught the skills of thievery by a Khajiit named Therris.

Note: This is part of the original, uncensored series of books that appeared in Daggerfall. In subsequent games, this content appears in The Real Barenziah, v 1 with some minor modifications. Barenziah grew like a weed transplanted to a Skyrim garden, a ward of Count Sven and his wife Lady Inga.
