Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. The opening day of the Premier Division South sees something of a reverse situation, whereby the two clubs switched by the FA from the Isthmian League have been handed home starts. Hanwell Town , who have been members of the league before, have been promoted as Isthmian South Central Division play-off winners and also host West Country visitors in Truro City, another team expected to feature in the promotion race. The teams promoted from Division One South, champions Plymouth Parkway and play-off winners Winchester City , have both been handed home starts.
