The good fight nanny scene
Only The Good Fight can tackle race in such a thought-provoking manner. It genuinely made me question if Diane is racist for not knowing the names of slain black kids, or if Marissa really does deserve to make as much money as Jay.
Maia has been arrested for possession of drugs that Blum planted in her car. Liz joins Diane in the resistance group. Marissa helps Julius with his campaign, but the other conservatives don't think he should use Eli Gold's daughter for that. Lucca goes to the park with her son and is mistaken for a nanny, then for a kidnapper. After that is cleared up, people start sending her harassing emails and phone calls regarding the video the racist woman in the park uploaded.

Based on the use of inclement weather in last week's episode one fateful encounter with Roland Blum on a stormy night ultimately leads to Diane landing back on the NSA's radar , though, we know it portends trouble; however, I definitely couldn't predict how much damage the storm would leave in its wake. We begin with Maia, who meets with the partners about her drug arrest. After she leaves, one of the partners suggests that she should be fired because that's how they handled things with another associate who was arrested for drugs. None of the main characters—Adrian, Diane, and Liz—want to take such a drastic course of action, so Adrian decides that they'll review all of the evidence and consider a suspension. Spoiler alert: Maia is fired by the end of the episode. Sure, that's a surprising development on its own, but what's even more surprising is how the episode builds to that moment. It doesn't come about because they found new damning evidence. Maia is in trouble with the firm for both getting arrested and throwing a laptop through a glass window. Now they have to discuss whether they should fire her or not. Diane and Adrian stand up for her, but everyone else wants to kick her to the curve. They'll leave it to a vote later on. But Maia's biggest worry is the drug test they're having her take. Because she took some of those drugs Roland gave her and they are likely still in her system. But it's okay because she gets Marissa to help her fake her drug test by giving her a urine sample.
