The Taverley Dungeon is one of the largest dungeons in RuneScape. There are many monsters, ranging from low to high combat levels and with the stronger ones located deeper in the dungeon. Taverley dungeon

Climbing down the ladder will lead you to the middle of this enormous dungeon where you will meet a number of skeletons. The first part of this dungeon, up to the lesser demons and chaos dwarves, can be easily accessed without disturbance. If you would like to venture deeper into this dungeon to the high leveled monsters, you will have to obtain a 'dusty key'. To get it, kill the jailer in the southern portion of the dungeon and then talk to Velrak the Explorer. In return for freeing him, he will give you the dusty key which opens the door near the lesser demons. This will give you access to the rest of the dungeon. There is also a dusty key spawn near the lava eel fishing areas. There are four quests which utilize this dungeon. In the Druidic Ritual quest you will need to dip meats in the cauldron of thunder. In the Heroes Quest the lava eels near the blue dragons need to be caught.

A level 39 jailer must first be killed to obtain a jail key to enter Velrak's cell, and then he must be spoken to and asked if there are any good places to explore. If he is spoken to again while a dusty key is in a player's inventory, he will relocate to the entrance of Taverley Dungeon, and may be spoken to there in order to reclaim the key if lost. The dusty key can also be purchased for one coin on the second floor of the Legends' Guild , by players who have completed the Legends' Quest. One dusty key spawns deep in Taverley Dungeon, near the Lava eel fishing spot south of the blue dragon area.
