Bringing together thousands of Sydney residents from more than 35 communities across the city, MEFF is a joyous celebration following the religious holiday Eid-al-Fitr, which is an important cultural event for Muslims marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Sunday 21 April Welcoming tens of thousands of people from over 35 communities, it is a family fun day for all. Indulge your senses with our Exhibition Stalls offering a vast array of cultural clothing, jewellery, perfumes, captivating books, toys, and showbags. Their food stalls are a true gastronomic delight, boasting an impressive selection of mouth-watering cuisines from around the world, including Turkish, Indian, Lebanese, Japanese, Pakistani, Spanish, and more. Savour the delicious aroma of gozleme, kebabs, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, waffles, coconut drinks, and freshly squeezed lemonade and sugar cane juice. And don't miss out on our special festival treats, including juicy burgers, crispy potato-on-a-stick, hot dogs, pluto pups, refreshing snow cones, slushies, and sweet fairy floss! Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Dubbed the greater Eid of the two that take place every year, Eid al-Adha holds a greater significance to the community. It's known as the Feast of Sacrifice. Eid al-Adha usually comes two months after Eid al-Fitr , which is known as the "Feast of Breaking the fast" and marks the end of a month-long fast.
