Swtor empire vs republic
By Socialist August 18, in General Discussion. I know this is a topic as ancient as this forum, however, I'd like to see some new and fresh opinions from the folks that weren't here since day one. For myself, I love the Empire. Firstly because it is fair and egalitarian when you look beyond the obvious. I mean, anyone can get anywhere in the Empire, as long as you are strong with the Force and got a bit of wits. Just see the warrior's and inquisitor's story. As a Sith, you are free to take charge of your own destiny. Well, it sucks to be 'force blind' in the Empire, but so does being penny dry or without political influence in the Republic. The Republic in the other hand, in my opinion, is just a place run by politicians and their lobbyists, where the Jedi end up tangled in such political games simply because they are foolish enough to follow the blind Palpatine got it spot on, some thousand years later. And it is far less egalitarian and meritocratic than the Empire, unless you are born some sort of noble or just very rich, good luck getting into the big stage. Also, Empire's got great architects, and all fashion designers went to the Empire I guess. BuriDogshin 4 posts. DomiSotto 4 posts.
Maybe your server is better than mine, but playing Republic, I have have never had to use the ignore feature.
By commanderwar March 19, in Story and Lore. This is just my opinion, but I just feel like faction war stories are the most boring, at least for me. I do like the companions, Tau, Rivix Anri, just not the actual rep vs empire plot. I also feel the rep vs empire stories have been pointless imo. Also I really doubt anyone going to win the war in an MMO. That why I imagine the World of Warcraft devs ended the faction wars, because people were tired of it and everyone knew no one would win completely. In the end out of all the stories that came post 1.
By Thathoboman April 8, in PvP. In my server the Empire always wins no matter what. The Republic on my server is just a bunch of 9-year-olds who think that this is a like a FPS The more kills you get, the higher your XP. That is not true. If you win you get 2x more XP.

By Orestess December 21, in General Discussion. Good to hear. I'm on an RP server on the Sith side living out my "sociopath" fantasies. I play a Light Side Sith Assassin. I will never have my fill of being evil because I choose all the good conversations and still get to play the class I like the most. Jedi Shadow feels boring even though it's the mirror class. Light Side Bounty Hunter here. To be honest, playing republic I switched due to getting sick of huttbal, huttbal, huttbal isn't nearly as lame as I thought it would be. Actually, all the corruption, evil stuff within the republic as a Trooper is a lot of fun and the storyline is enjoyable and the smart-assedness of my smuggler makes me lol a lot. Jedi is a tad overly goody-goody, just like sith is a tad overly baddy-baddy.

I am just said it is my main character. Empire all the way for me, why? Wont let me attack controls messed up? The writers over time have painted themselves into the corner of room. From a game perspective, ultimately, if you want to enjoy the setting to the full, you need to play both sides, all the way to the end game. The Sith, on the other hand, are much more open to differences and can be influenced accordingly. Means don't always justify an end. My DS IA joined the republic only so he can eliminate force users like the Empress Acina, and when he is done he wants to switch back and eliminate more force users on the other side. Sign In. I cannot overstate how cool is a red lightsaber. My character was born a Sith, went through slavery and became a Sith again. As far as protagonists go movies or otherwise , they have always been somewhat of a yawn fest for me. I was talking with someone on the Fleet about this very sentiment.

This is the third, and the only one with a lasting gameplay impact, and even then it's more of a narrative impact. Drudenfusz Posted August 18, How do I recover focus? They rejoined the Republic because 1 The Alliance was about defeating The Eternal Empire, which we did, not rule the galaxy and 2 They're very much interested in restoring the Jedi Oder. He wants to make a statement to the Sith that he is willing to be very bold and seek strength within himself by siding with the Republic, not to mention the accolade of being a traitor and seeking new challenges. I might have already mentioned it, but I would say Empire, if you enjoy playing an evil character. Are there really more empire players than republic? Posted May 21, I wasn't paying attention and missed the bombing civilians one and just auto picked the sabateur option. Now I am stuck with it.
I like this idea, I completely with you agree.
