How has the game evolved over 20 years and does it continue to lead the off-road racing genre?
After the incredibly charming and fun trip through the paper mache world of Paper Mario: The Origami King , I needed a bit of a break from the long-play games. It took me over a month and half to finish due to having a newborn, and my wife had just the idea — for my birthday, she surprised me with the new MX vs. ATV: All Out. I adore this series and its predecessor ATV Offroad Fury and have been following it for many years, not only as a source of gaming adrenaline since the Playstation 2 era, but also in discovery of some of my favorite music to this day. ATV All Out was originally released in and received less than stellar reviews. It was deemed beyond glitchy and very outdated for its time. The announcement of a Switch port made me worry a bit, considering that the game could barely run properly on much more powerful hardware. This challenge is filled with collectibles that are located in tricky spots that will require you to perform precise jumps in specific angles in order to reach. The fabric of the game is spoiled, and almost any chance of extracting any fun out of this title is instantly marred. To add insult to injury the graphics and sounds are just horribly lacklustre, and incredibly dull to experience. In order to make this bland game's review less I'm going to turn review etiquette on its head, and go through each and every aggravation in alphabetical order, just because it is somehow more cathartic for me to hammer into my keyboard:.
