Looks like a different circuit, this may have optoisolator instead of transistors. Note: Your email address is included with the abuse report. Seems we are running parallel threads. See Howard's "Slipstick" message.
My problem is that I need to control the position of 12 inkjet heads of an industrial printer. Each one needs to be in a precise and steady-fix position during printing. The are mounted on straight rails every one parallel to each other and they only need to be moved when the format of the printing changes. So, speed is not an issue. It's a calibration operation. Right now they are set manually and that is a time consuming task that most of the times needs lots of re-adjustments. My idea is to connect each head to a screw-nut assy like in a CNC machine, and control position of all of them using stepper motors.

But the problem: I don't know how to connect to the arduino to control it. Could you help me with any guide about how connect this motor to the arduino? You need a stepper motor driver with at least 3A output - and for full performance a supply in the 24V to 80V range. No I dont need a full performance, the application is only for moving the angle of solar panel transmitting the power trough a screw mechanism, basically this solar panel give me only 12v and I don't know if the motor can move itself with this voltage. That driver can be made to work but it would be the least desirable solution primarily because it has no current limiting feature. Look for a driver based on the TB chip. Avoid anything with an L You can run the motor at lower current if its not having to work hard, BTW, which opens up possibility of a cheaper driver like the A Pololu's etc Do you know the torque you need to provide for the panel? Not exactly but I have already purchased the Toshiba driver it seems the best choice for this motor. How to connect a Nema 23 Stepper Motor to Ardunino.
So, here is my question: Where to begin? Do you think STMicro L is recommendable?
Rated Voltage: 2. The voltage is not regulated? Can I use any power source from 7v to 35v despite my motor works on 2. The voltage controls how quickly the motor can step, while the current controls the torque. In fact, the higher the voltage, the better within the limitations of the motor driver. The motor and motor driver will then run cooler. Your current limit will need to take into account the current per phase ratings of the A stepper motor driver as well as your stepper motor.

You may clock them all at once, or more likely select and drive a few at a time with some simple 'routing' of the drive signals to the stepper power drivers. Thanks for your help. The motors would be in a lateral side of the conveyor, and will only move in format change. Do you think STMicro L is recommendable? Aceptar cookies Configurar cookies. I was looking at your original requirements, and thought about another recent post. For example, in extinguishing fire robot, it can control the extinguishing fan, no need for plus circuit. Using this module will enable you to control your motor freely. Many thanks in advance! Each one needs to be in a precise and steady-fix position during printing. Project Guidance. First question - What level are your micro and electro-mechanical skills? It can also meet the need of high-power step-motor projects. It's output current is 2A, 4A at highest. The only movement during printing is the conveyor belt below the inkjet heads, wich remain static, as each prints only a 0.

Support two-way DC motor drive control, 4-phase stepper motor control. All togheter, side by side, print the whole page. Shop Blog Forum Support. Por favor, vuelve a intentarlo. The voltage controls how quickly the motor can step, while the current controls the torque. Project Guidance. Do you need full performance? With regards to tracking multiples steppers is not necessary to move them all at the same time, neither 2 at the same time! Seems we are running parallel threads. Report to Groups. Instructions: this LN driver module, uses the original brand new LN chip from ST company, adopt SMT high stability process, high quality aluminum electrolytic capacitor to stable the circuit.
