I just logged in to Steam and noticed something I've never seen before and was wondering if maybe somebody knows what exactly happened here. I don't think it's a problem, just being curious. It seems unlikely to me that somebody would pay for a Trading card with credit card but maybe they used wallet funds added via CC that haven't been properly cleared yet? According to a TheGamer article that was pointed out to me by himeko this is due to a new, as of now unannounced Steam policy to put a temporary hold on Community market transactions when there are drastic price fluctuations. Since there hasn't been an official statement yet the reasoning behind this is up for speculation but the working theory is it's to combat scams as it makes it harder to transfer funds away from compromised accounts or cash out your Steam wallet.
