There are two different plots in Stardew Valley depending on the players' choices.

On day 5 of Spring and onwards, you can trigger a cutscene by entering Pelican Town from the Bus Stop it must not be a rainy day where you'll learn what this building is. Afterward, the Community Center will be unlocked for your character to explore inside. While in here, you should head to the left and into the lower room to read a glowing scroll. Once you have done so, exit, as you are currently done here. Shortly after, you'll receive a piece of mail regarding the Community Center.
