A warm welcome awaits visitors to our cafe. It is the heart of the hospice. Situated through the main building entrance Caffi Cariad serves a delicious menu of hot and cold food and drinks. Open to the public serving delicious home cooked breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. All our food is cooked fresh in our kitchen by our team of creative and innovative chefs. The regular menu is updated seasonally and several specials can by tried daily. Caffi Cariad is the ideal venue for a relaxing meal with friends, family or colleagues, you can also enjoy the garden terrace with a delicious afternoon tea in the summer.

From full English breakfast and three-course lunch to its famous afternoon tea, this popular community cafe owned and run by St Kentigern Hospice is open to the public, delivering top-quality fare at very reasonable prices. The bonus is that every penny spent here goes back into the hospice, a local charity providing care and support across North East Wales to patients with life-limiting conditions and their families. Tucked away on the Upper Denbigh Road leading out of St Asaph, Caffi Cariad is not the easiest place to find but certainly worth the effort — as my food-loving friend Elaine and I discovered when we recently put this hidden treasure to the test. Over the years I have eaten in many different venues all over the world, some good, some dreadful, but a hospice cafe was a first and I must admit I was a little apprehensive as to what we might find. However, in recent months lots of good reports about the place had come my way so Elaine and I decided to go there for lunch before hitting the shelves at the nearby Tweedmill. Would it win our seal of approval? We were about to find out. For once parking was perfect, a spot just yards from the front door. As seating was limited to just 28 places, I had taken the precaution of booking and we arrived bang on time just after midday, ready and eager for what we hoped would be a good meal. Located on the ground floor through the main hospice building entrance, Caffi Cariad is open from 10am -4pm Monday to Friday, serving an excellent menu of hot and cold food and drinks, both soft and alcoholic. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are catered for. First impressions were highly favourable and Elaine and I felt instantly at ease in the spacious and spotlessly clean room that has undergone a modern makeover with new furniture, fittings and a brand-new kitchen.

We are a Coffee Roastery, Cafe and Wholesaler. We roast on site to bring you world-class coffee in the heart of Christchurch. Our offerings change throughout the year depending on harvest times of coffee producing origins. We experiment with each new coffee to try and highlight the special characteristics of each. All of the coffee we use is specialty graded and traceable back to the farmer.
