The shocking twist took place in Season 4, Episode 5, just as it looked like everything in Oscar's life was falling perfectly into place which made his sudden death all of the more heartbreaking. The move would guarantee them a fresh start, leaving their gangster lifestyle behind. However, things did not go to plan as Cesar was shot dead on his doorstep in a drive-by shooting.

I knew the show was special, and when it resonated with the fans, I knew it made sense. The hardest scene to shoot was the tie scene -- the very last tie scene. Sighing heavily you ignored his whines for attention drifting back into slumber. That was, by far, the most emotional moment in my acting career because the characters all lined up, me, Diego, Oscar, Cesar. This is a code, and there's a reason that this code was written because before all the gang banging we were doing this to protect our community.
