Like the title says - Does an attacking spectral hand 2nd Level Necromany Spell provoke Attacks of Opportunity from moving through threatened areas? As the spectral hand returns after delivering a touch spell - does this provoke another AOO? My feeling says it should. But it would make the spell a bad choice, as soon as enemies have magical weapons. I couldn't find any discussions about this detail. What are your opinions? Last edited by Mosaique; at PM. It is, for all intents and purposes, behaving as a mindless creature controlled by the caster with a few extra limitations.

The rules are rather disorganized because they try to cover willing target touch spells and touch attack spells together, even though they have different characteristics.

I have looked for an official answer for PFS play, but come up empty. I am not looking for an opinion, but proof i can show a GM. I understand the basics of the spell, how incorpealness works and so on. I have read that some feel it moves back and forth every time the caster sends it out with a charge, which would provoke AoO's while going past enemies. Don't let it's name fool you, Mage Hand does not create a "magical hand" that moves things. It is nothing more than a telekinesis with a 5 lb limit, doing precisely what the spell says it does.
