The five battles in question are easily the game's most difficult, so to be properly prepared for them, we highly recommend that the six Pokemon you intend to take with you through the Pokemon League are at level fifty. This should make your Pokemon plenty-strong enough for what lies ahead, but if you're feeling extra confident, feel free to wing it below level fifty. Chances are, you're going to get your clock cleaned if you choose to do so but do what you must. If you feel like listening to our advice, however, level fifty for all six of your Pokemon is definitely the way to go.
