At Indigo Plateau , challengers must face the five strongest Trainers in the region, one after the other. Buy some handy items. Save the game before challenging each opponent. After entering the Hall of Fame , you may return here to challenge each of these powerful Trainers— and their even stronger teams —to a rematch. After meeting certain conditions , Silver can also be found here. If you chose Totodile as your starter, a few Crunches from Feraligatr 's massive jaws can whip through Will's entire team with little trouble. A powerful Electric-type attack can make short work of his two Xatu and his Slowbro. Aside from that, Fire attacks will scorch his Bugs to a crisp, while Electric-type , Ice-type or Rock-type moves can knock his Crobat out of the air. Three of them know Toxic , a move that badly poisons the foe, essentially making it on a timer. In addition, Machamp's No Guard Ability ensures that attacks used by or against it never miss, meaning Fly is never a safe bet Hitmontop 's Counter and Hitmonchan 's coverage options should also be noted. Onix takes massive damage from both Grass - and Water-type attacks. With its high defenses and moves like Double Team and Confuse Ray , her Umbreon is the biggest obstacle.

But first, you're going to need to get through Victory Road. Victory Road is fairly easy to find your way through, and there are quite a few powerful Pokemon types within but no trainers to speak of, strangely enough. This is a good thing, since it's here that you're going to be grinding out levels in anticipation of the main game's final five battles. The five battles in question are easily the game's most difficult, so to be properly prepared for them, we highly recommend that the six Pokemon you intend to take with you through the Pokemon League are at level fifty. This should make your Pokemon plenty-strong enough for what lies ahead, but if you're feeling extra confident, feel free to wing it below level fifty. Chances are, you're going to get your clock cleaned if you choose to do so but do what you must. If you feel like listening to our advice, however, level fifty for all six of your Pokemon is definitely the way to go. You're going to need Strength and Rock Smash here especially the former , so be sure you have Pokemon with you that can use both of those moves. From the entrance to Victory Road, head northward slightly, and then to the west, pushing the rounded stone out of your way en route with Strength. After heading west for a while, you'll come to a staircase leading downward.
