I've been thinking about making my first real theme build for Dark Souls 2, and after about an hour of throwing ideas around, I finally decided to pick up my favorite fighting game of all time; Soul Calibur 2, and I decided to play a bit of Nightmare, but with the Seigfried skin and Soul Calibur weapon. Then it dawned on me, Seigfried's design is perfect for Dark Souls, and I really love Soul Calibur, so why not make my first theme build based on Seigfried? My current plan is with this build in terms of armor is the Looking Glass Knight armor and gauntlets, and for the feet I'll choose the Catarina leggings if you have any better suggestions, please let me know : , and for my weapon of choice, the Bluemoon Greatsword because to my knowledge, it is the closest thing to Soul Calibur, and it is the simplest sword to use because it has no scaling and does somewhat decent damage, allowing me to level up other stats. I'm not sure about the other stats, but I know i'll need alot of endurance and vitality, vigor will help somewhat, but if i'm wearing armor and i'm going to be fast on my feet I don't think it's as neccessary. Soul Edge is the central antagonist in the Soul series of fighting games and namesake to the first installment. Either way, it is not unusual for the player to lose the battle as a result of wielding the weapon - without the opponent actually landing the finishing blow - thereby living up to its in-game legend of "consuming" its wielder. When Siegfried took the sword, he created the Evil Seed , a manifestation of the sword's evil energy that caused disastrous negative effects. Soul Edge's curse is called malfestation , and is inflicted not only upon those who wield the sword itself, but those who come into contact with its shards. Normally, the Evil Seed transforms the person infected into a demonic monster and feeds off the host's inner sinful deeds of bloodlust, controlling and manipulating their actions, and forcing the user to take the souls of whom they defeat in battle, as it does to Zasalamel when he obtained it, Siegfried, Nightmare , Charade , Night Terror , Aeon Calcos , Necrid , and Cervantes de Leon , from the main series, and Geki and Maki from Soulcalibur Legends , as well as other people mentioned in characters' backstories.

Soul Calibur is the spirit sword created to combat Soul Edge and is known as the protagonist in the Soul series.
