The Snow Inventory Agents and Oracle Scanners collect inventory data from the computers in your organization, enabling you to manage and control your software assets via Snow Atlas or Snow License Manager. They collect inventory data, such snow inventory agent software information, software usage, user information and hardware specifications. The agents send the collected data in an encrypted file to a Snow Inventory endpoint for further processing. I read from the documentation that the agent needs information in the configuration file whether the scanned device is part of VDI and the default setting is with a value of false. Why doesn't snow software automatically detect if a device is VDI? Is it somehow related to their licensing and we are not able to tell if a device is VDI? The current solution is very manual and requires knowing what is VDI and what is not.

But it generally refers to people who are working on Servicenow to fulfill different requirements. In some cases even developers are referred as Snow agent but I said it is a very loosely used term,.
