Miraak is the primary antagonist of the Dragonborn add-on for Skyrim. He is the First Dragonborn recorded in history. He ruled over the island of Solstheimwhere a large temple skyrim miraak dedicated to him.

This continued until Sabinius was convinced to sabotage the scriptorium of Quires Wind , corrupting both mortals and Daedra within using corrupted scrolls. Upon meeting the Last Dragonborn , he can claim that, compared to him, they have only killed a "few dragons" and do not yet know the true power of a Dragonborn such as himself unless the main questline has been completed, in which case Miraak will grudgingly state admiration for the Dragonborn.

Miraak is a Dragonborn that lived long before the events of Skyrim and the events of the current Dragonborn that defeated Alduin. The current Dragonborn gets a chance to battle Miraak in the Dragonborn DLC and learn more about this fascinating character since there is a lot about him that isn't immediately evident when conversing and battling with him. Miraak is an interesting character because he once served the dragon cult, and there are a lot of little pieces of his history that fans completely overlooked while completing the Dragonborn DLC. Enter the center of the structure and the quest will begin with Frea seeking you out. She explains that she is there to either free or avenge her people, revealing that the workers are from her village. She is also knowledgeable about the return of Miraak and will offer you companionship to help defeat him. Her assistance starts with locating the entrance to the underground Temple. Soon afterward, a gate will open and two cultists will come rushing out, revealing the entrance. Dispose of them and follow Frea into the temple.
